What is your shipping policy?View
Continental US orders are shipped by USPS, Priority Mail. All continental US orders must ship to a physical address. Orders over $100 ship free. All other US orders ship for a standard price of $7.00.
Backstory Designs does not ship on Saturdays, Sundays or on national holidays. Each piece is handmade by me and ships within 3-5 business days, unless a different timeframe is listed in the product description of your chosen design.
You may specify expedited delivery for an additional fee.
Do you ship internationally?View
Yes, I can ship internationally! If your country is not listed at checkout, feel free to email me at firstname.lastname@example.org. Please allow up to 5-6 weeks for your shipment to arrive internationally, depending on the shipping method you choose when you place your order.
Can I return or exchange a Backstory design?View
It is important that you love your order! Each piece is handmade by me with the utmost care, but if it is not quite what you expected, I am happy to return it for a different item, or issue a full refund within 30 days of the ship date. Your return must be in its original condition and undamaged. Once your return is received, I will email you to notify you that I have received your returned item. Upon inspection and approval, your return will be processed and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within 10 days.
If returning an item, I recommend that your send the item(s) back in a padded envelope and that you insure the package. If the merchandise is lost or stolen in the mail, it is not the responsibility of Backstory Designs to replace it.

What if my piece breaks? Can you repair my jewelry?View
I am happy to repair any Backstory design. Should your jewelry break within the first six months, I will repair it free of charge. After six months, all repairs will be made for a small charge. Please get in contact with me and discuss your requirements at firstname.lastname@example.org. General wear and tear, or any damage to the product on your behalf is not included.
How do I care for my Backstory design?View
My jewelry is hand-made from tiny glass beads and thread or Fireline. As any other piece of valued jewelry, it requires special care.
Please store your beadwoven items in a dry place that is protected from direct sunlight. I stitch only high quality materials in my creations; however, many types of seed beads can tarnish, change, or even lose their color if stored in high moisture, heat or sunlight. Those conditions may also damage the thread, making it brittle. A soft pouch will prevent seed beads, crystals and gems in your woven items from chipping and scratching. Avoid dropping or tossing your beadwoven jewelry onto hard surfaces.
Never expose beadwoven jewelry to water, perfume or any other chemicals (including soap and other detergents, crèmes, lotions, disinfectants, etc.). Do not wear it when doing dishes, taking showers or swimming, and make sure to take it off before going to bed.
Please follow these recommendations for care of your jewelry and it will prove to be very durable. When properly cared for, beadwoven jewelry will serve you for many years to come.
